Olav E. Fiskerstrand is located at Fiskerstranda, close to the coastal town of Ålesund.

Our company has a rich history and with over 100 years of experience we take our pride in delivering the best products on the market.
The products are sorted, packed, loaded and shipped from our premises at Fiskerstranda, Ålesund. We process and produce fish from both Norwegian and international vessels. We load the product from the vessels and start processing as soon as possible. This ensures a first-class degree of freshness and high quality.

HISTORY
Olav E. Fiskerstrand is a company full of history and traditions. It all started in 1916 when founder Elias E. Fiskerstrand started fish production in a rented sea shed and later on built a warehouse of 250m2.
It was not until the 1930s that his son Olav entered the family business. He had originally started his own company, but when he took over after his father, the company changed its name from Elias E. Fiskerstrand to Olav E. Fiskerstrand.
AFTER 1950
The Second World War started and little happened at Olav E. Fiskerstrand during these years. At the end of the war, however, great things happened. 900 square meters were built in 1946 and 3 years later a 3-story concrete building was built. A total of 2,100 square meters with a freezer, machine room and salmon freezer channel.
In 1953 Olav took over the 100-year old export company of white fish called Jørgen Heggen and developed the company together with 2 of his sons, Erling and Lidvar.
From 1916 the warehouse and production area has expanded from a rented sea shed to total 19,300 m2, we are totally 17 employees and the family is still involved and comitted to the company.
